Raisins and water
The offering is placed on the edge of the table carefully by two pairs of warm hands. It is an act of generosity materialized, chosen with love and anticipation.
Moving the vessels tenderly on the supporting surface the hands build a pattern that allows the objects to create connections and rhythms amongst themselves; a logic that makes the light to land and the air to move pleasantly between them. The stretched out fingers move all in different directions navigating in the air in a constant dancing movement. Navigating through the space, through the matter like playing some complicated instrument. Like antennas receiving, gathering and spreading energy. Touching through all surfaces, and the space in between, these sticky tentacles leave their marks making notes on the meeting points of the skin and the wood-metal- plastic-stone.
The offering is made for a friend with a soft voice and long limbs, and the rare ability to break down walls and build new ones: to open space and offer support. A material and imaginary companion with the skill of listening. When together, the small hands touch tenderly everything after the friend. As attempting to suck these admired qualities from the objects, from the warmth left by the body on these surfaces.
Waiting for the friend to enter, the room is quietly getting ready for the transition. The sunlight light traveling through the window throws a beam through a water glass creating a rainbow colored prism next to the dried fruits.
